Kingdom Legacy Vision Campaign:
Dear Church,
What an exciting letter this is to write and share! The time has finally come upon us. After 10 years of dreaming and praying about the expansion of our facilities, we are at this moment in history for “such a time as this”. We are excited to introduce to you our vision campaign: KINGDOM LEGACY.
KINGDOM: As disciples of Christ we live for something much bigger than ourselves, the kingdom of God. Jesus tells his disciples, the future church, in the Gospel of Matthew that they hold the keys to the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 16:19). The church therefore exists to establish the kingdom of God here on earth through the proclamation of the Gospel message. Thus, Friendship SBC exists for that end.
LEGACY: As we progress in age we become more and more concerned with what we will leave behind. We ensure that we leave an inheritance for our kids. We pray and hope that people would fondly look back on our life and cherish the impact that we had on their lives. What if our legacy involved a story greater than ourselves? It already does! The greatest part of each of our stories is the wonderful redemption we have in Christ Jesus. Yet, what if our legacy had a tangible aspect to it? What if we truly lived for something bigger than ourselves and something that will outlast our lifetime?
KINGDOM LEGACY: That is exactly the idea behind our vision campaign. As we move forward in the fundraising for and building of our new facility we are leaving behind a KINGDOM LEGACY. Our prayer is that through this new building God will use us to equip families and individuals to leave a KINGDOM LEGACY in their community and around the world. Our vision is that this new facility would enable us to send out Leaders, Pastors, and Missionaries that plant churches that multiply like never before.
What is the legacy we will leave behind? We hope it is a KINGDOM LEGACY. A legacy that will endure through all ages as Friendship SBC continues to be a beacon of hope to a lost and dying world. This is a legacy that matters! This vision campaign aims to foster prayer and unity in the grand mission and vision of Friendship SBC, so that we may as one body leave behind a KINGDOM LEGACY not just in a new facility but in a church that continues to expand the kingdom of God on earth! Phase One:
- Fellowship Hall
- Space for the whole church to enjoy a meal.
- Youth Space
- Dedicated Youth Space attached to our building.
- Kitchen
- Space for a whole team to cook.
Phase Two:
- Sanctuary
- Seat capacity of 342 & a choir loft large enough for 70 singers.
- Foyer
- 500% increase in space to foster fellowship among members.
- Children’s Wing
- Dedicated classroom space for children with larger classrooms & better security.
- Dedicated Church Office Wing
What are we asking for?
First, we are asking for everyone to join us in prayer for this campaign.
Secondly, we are asking for all of our church family and those friends connected to prayerfully seek how much the Lord would lead you to give outside your normal tithe to the church for this Kingdom Legacy Campaign. There are several ways we can all seek to be used by the Lord for this purpose:
- Committing to a monthly pledge for a span of one, two, or three years.
- A One-Time gift to jump-start our speed into phase One.
- Asking for donations from businesses in the Community.
- Gifts of stock, life-insurance or annuity donations, or including the church in a will or estate plan.
